What About Other Online Lessons?
We understand the attraction to many online guitar lessons: convenient, abundant, no need to change out of pajama pants - it sounds great. But most of them are prerecorded video series. How can an online video tell you your finger position needs to be changed? Can an online video encourage you when you just nail that tough passage? Can an online video re-arrange your favorite song to make it easier for you to learn? There's no substitute for the relationship you develop with your teacher as they encourage you and give you exactly what you need to accomplish your musical goals.
Drum Instructor Profiles
I have loved music from a young age. My father introduced me to bands such as “The Police” and I have loved music ever since. I began drumming at the age of 8 and started private lessons shortly after. I participated in every band class I could in high school and became snare captain of the marching band my senior year. I actively play in my two bands Calm. and T.I.G.E.R. My absolute goal is to create music for people to enjoy as much as I enjoy my favorite bands. I went to the Atlanta Institute of Music & Media where I studied drums and music technology and have since graduated. I love producing music and playing any instrument at any given chance. I incorporate my drumming background on guitar to produce complex down-tuned rhythms. Being a gigging musician has taught me many valuable lessons in the way of the music business. I have played all over the place from The Georgia Theatre in Athens to small bars in Birmingham Alabama and everywhere in between. I would love to share any knowledge I can with you!
Taylor offers IN PERSON lessons on Mon & Thurs
What's something people would find interesting about you?
My high school band won a battle of the bands to play the Maryland date of Warped Tour.
What inspired you to start playing?
The music! I have a love for music of all styles and drums have been my favorite form of expression and creative outlet since I was very young. I love learning new techniques and concepts, but music as a whole has always been why I play, and my main source of inspiration.
What's the best thing about teaching?
I love seeing a passionate student grow and realize, with practice and a little direction, all goals are achievable.
