Used Greer Amps Sucker Punch distortion pedal, tested and working great, includes original box. JFET-driven, JCM amp-style high gain, wide tone sweep, true bypass. Made in Athens, GA. In stock at Town Center Music, Suwanee, GA.
This is a used Greer Amps Sucker Punch distortion pedal, tested and confirmed to be in full working order, and it comes complete with the original box. Hand-designed by Nick Greer and built by Greer Amps in Athens, GA, the Sucker Punch is a high-gain distortion pedal built around a JFET preamp driving a 386D chip amp section — a combination that produces amp-like distortion in the spirit of early JCM-style Marshalls, with huge volume on tap and a wide-sweeping tone control that goes from thick and saturated to cutting and articulate.
Where a lot of high-gain pedals turn to mush at higher settings, the Sucker Punch keeps note definition intact. Chords stay separated, single-note lines cut through a mix, and the tone knob has enough range to dial in anything from classic rock crunch to thick, saturated modern gain. It responds to guitar volume and pick attack the way a cranked tube amp does, which makes it just as useful as a stand-alone gain sound as it is a pedal to stack in front of an already-dirty amp for extra push.
Buying a used pedal online is always a bit of a gamble — you're trusting a stranger's description of "works great" with no way to verify it before it ships. That's not how we handle used gear. Every pre-owned pedal that comes through Town Center Music, this Sucker Punch included, is tested and quality-checked by our own staff before it ever goes up for sale, so "tested and working great" means our techs actually plugged it in and ran it through its paces, not just that the previous owner said so.
Town Center Music has served musicians throughout Suwanee, Duluth, Cumming, Johns Creek, Buford, and Sugar Hill since 2012. We're an independent, family-owned shop built around one goal: making music makers, whether you're a beginner building your first pedalboard or a working professional hunting for a specific tone. Our many five-star Google reviews reflect the kind of honest, hands-on guidance we've built our reputation on for well over a decade, and that same care goes into every used pedal we put on our shelves.
The Sucker Punch is built for players chasing a British high-gain amp tone in pedal form — classic rock, hard rock, and modern rock players will feel right at home with its JCM-flavored voice and generous output. Because its tone control has such a wide sweep, it also works well for guitarists who want one pedal that can cover both a thick rhythm tone and a cutting lead tone without switching pedals mid-set. Buying it used is also an easy, budget-friendly way to add a boutique, hand-built American pedal to your board at a lower price point than new.
